Brooks PR Invitational
The PR Invitational is an elite track meet for high school runners. Each year Brooks Running puts on the event and invites select athletes in a unique way to run in the event.
The project brief demanded updating the logo and the creative direction to embody the prestige and energy of the event. By using the same color palette as previous years' we sustained and improved awareness of the event.

Inspiring Coaches Ad
Inspiring Coaches is a program by Brooks Sports Inc. to honor and reward Track/XC coaches going above and beyond to support student athletes and running communities.
This ad is a call for nominations to be submitted by anybody who has an Inspiring Coach in their life. I chose to hand letter a quote from a previous winner to capture the essence of what these coaches do. By steering clear of photographic executions, viewers are able to superimpose their own coach.

PHOTOGRAPHY & TYPE
Rise Above the Run is a creative campaign aimed at runners who want to float through their run while featuring two new shoes: the Ghost 7 and Glycerin 12. Not everyone is looking for the "near naked" experience and these shoes are the answer for those looking at the other end of the spectrum. These shoes provide runners with a plush Cadillac-like ride to keep you going mile after mile.
Levitating shoes, fluid type, and an above-the-clouds setting are some of the visual queues telling consumers that these shoes will help your run be more effortless.
BROOKS RUNNING F14 CATALOG
The Brooks Running fall 2014 catalog was reinvented from the ground up for the first time in over five years. The internal Creative Department rose to the challenge and delivered something beautiful.
Our aim to was to maximize the utility of the workbooks through simplicity yielding the necessity of a lookbook. Through beautiful images and thoughtful design we would tell the runner's story in the Lookbook and allow the workbooks to remain uncluttered. The result was an incredibly beautiful collaborative work celebrated equally internally as it was externally by key retailers and partners alike.
THE FIRE REPLY BOOK COVER
A book cover done for pastor and leader Benji Rodes based in Seattle, WA. The cover serves as a dramatic ode to the city and the challenges faced therein. Shooting my own photos and working collaboratively on the creative direction we were able to create an impactful cover that speaks to the intrigue and drama of the book itself.

This racing singlet served as a canvas for a prestigious invitation to the Brooks Coaches Camp. Track and XC coaches from around the United States were invited to partake in the "Camp" that Brooks hosted in honor of these outstanding male and female coaches. The experience culminates with the selection of one coach to receive the Inspiring Coach of the Year Award.
The event features a fancy-schmancy dinner with the coaches, families, and influencers. I aimed to make the invitation a modern take on classic aesthetics to convey to the coaches that they have been selected for something important and prestigious.

The Transcend Lookbook was created to support the launch of the new Brooks Transcend running shoe. The book encompasses the primary marketing stories while providing sales reps and retailers with essential knowledge of new technologies in the shoe.
The shoe offers runners with an incredibly plush and comfortable ride. Likewise, the book exudes a clean and premium aesthetic feel – allowing the shoe to rise to the front of audiences thoughts rather than being lost in design pyrotechnics.
Complete rebrand for Brooks Running's e-mailing list and several collateral items. The Loop features deals, discounts, and updates straight from HQ. Doing my best to contemporize the look and feel while remaining uniquely Brooks was a bit of a challenge. The movement and flexibility of a shoe lace lent itself to the logo and was reduced to flat color for legibility and simplicity. The result was continuous shoe lace spelling "Loop".
FACEBOOK HOLIDAY FUN
A continuous series of web graphics for the Facebook page of Brooks Sports, Inc. aimed to engage runners in new and Run Happy ways.
"The Artful Life of Mary Shaffer" book design was done for the Northwest Nazarene University Friesen Galleries. The book featured over 70 pages filled with images and copy of her collection, artwork, and life.
